Regulations of the Sapienza Library System Center
Loans
All institutional users (students, faculty, researchers, doctoral students, staff) of Sapienza University are eligible to borrow, upon request from the Opac SebinaYou catalog using their Infostud credentials. Loans are granted on a personal basis (it is forbidden to transfer borrowed works to third parties), for no more than three volumes at a time for a period of 30 days. Borrowed books must be returned by the due date indicated in the email sent to the user and on the form signed when the document was collected.
The Library reserves the right to request the immediate return of the work at any time for specific reasons.
Failure to comply with the terms of return of bibliographic material will result in the following penalties:
1. for delays of up to 30 days from the loan expiry date: suspension of the loan equal to the number of days of delay.
2. for delays of more than 30 days: suspension of at least 6 months and possible permanent exclusion from the loan.
Users who return damaged or lose a borrowed document, even if through no fault of their own, are requested to replace or refund it. At the discretion of the library director, this may be done with another copy of the same edition or with a copy of a different edition, provided that it is complete and has a similar layout (Presidential Decree 417/1995 Reg. Public State Libraries art. 51 c9; art. 58 c2). Textbooks, Istat publications, periodicals, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, bibliographic repertoires, rare and antique books, large-format works with plates or attachments, and documents on magnetic media are excluded from loan. External users affiliated with other universities, research institutes, or government employees may use the service by presenting identification and a partnership request form completed by their institution. The period of admission to the service and the duration of the loan will be indicated on the forms.

Interlibrary loans (ILL) are only available between library institutions. The service is provided in accordance with current copyright legislation, for educational and research purposes.
